Our latex based SBR primer is a must have for all professional tilers. It is applied before tiling to all porous/absorbent wall and floor backgrounds to improve the bonding strength of the tile adhesives and levellers. This Primer reflects heat which enhances the insulation value of our backer boards. Our SBR Primer is ideal for use with underfloor heating, and its chemical compound is excellent for use as a waterproof coating, making it ideal for use in wet rooms and bathrooms. Can also be used externally.

A: Concrete, screed, plaster, brickwork, cement boards, and existing tiles.
Q: Do I need to dilute the primer before use?
A: Yes, 3:1 with water
Q: How long should I wait after priming before tiling?
A: Around 20-30 mins or until dry to touch.
Q: Can I use SBR primer on wet or damp surfaces?
A: Slightly damp is fine, but not wet or waterlogged.
Q: What colour is the primer and what colour will it dry?
A: Goes on white, dries clear.
